We are so excited here at Brandilyn to have been able to add Joey to our herdsire row!  I get more impressed with him with each cria of
his I see.  He passes on his outstanding coverage, lock structure, luster and density to his offspring.  He is a Peruvian Condor son so he
has all that gray in his background.  Through his dam, Joey has 1st class genetics of Pardner and Absolute.  Joey has two spots of  dark
fawn, one on his right hip and the other in his tail.  With the right breeding we are sure Joey will produce color.  It will be fun doing our
best to figure out what that right breeding will be!  Joey has heavy bone conformation with a perfect bite.  In the coming years we are
positive Joey will be a great asset to our breeding program.

We are just as excited to add this awesome herdsire to our breeding program.  Huram is a gorgeous maroon male with dark skin and
toe nails.  His fiber is dense with great luster and his conformation is correct and strong.  He has some impressive bloodlines!  His
sire is Peruvian Rameses, one of the nation's first exceptional colored suri males who was once featured on the cover of Alpacas
magazine.  Rameses sire is Peruvian Aureo who  needs no introduction.  Huram's offspring have ranged in color from dark fawn to
true black.  Yes, he is making black babies when bred to dark fawn or darker females!  We look forward to Huram's breeding career
here at Brandilyn.  He has all the qualities we are striving for in our suri program and can't wait for him to pass them on to his progeny.

From the moment I set my eyes on this male, I knew I had to have him!  He has attitude and phenomenal presence that makes people
pay attention to him.  He has a great suri head which gives him the expression of always smirking.  He has that upright posture, with
stick straight legs, heavy bone conformation and perfect balance.  Ric Roc's straight suri locks are completely consistent from his
topknot to his tail full of luster.  His black skin and pigment and the small fawn patches on his shoulder and head are intriguing and
should be an asset to our breeding program.  His rare genetics will be an asset too - he is a full Peruvian great grandson of Inca
Hoots.  We plan on putting Ric Roc to work spring of 2009.  His 2007 Micron results:  FD=18.8, SD=4.5, CV=23.9, 1.8>30u

Ric Roc
's first offspring arrived a few days ago!  A handsome white male.  Pictures soon!

Arbutus, a.k.a. Arby, is a full fourth generation suri with great genetics behind him on both sides of his pedigree.  He has two
ribbon-winning parents and comes from well acclaimed bloodlines.    He has high luster with fine independent pencil locks and good
coverage.  His conformation and bite are correct.  He has no white markings whatsoever, and his sire, dam and two grandsires are
also solid dark colored animals with no white spotting.  His luster is intense, and his locks are slick.  Arby is the color of a shiny copper
penny and he absolutely GLOWS as he runs around the pasture!

His dam, Madrona, placed 1st at the prestigious International Alpaca Odyssey in Del Mar, CA.  Madrona is a Meteor grand-daughter.
Arbutus's sire is Macgyver's Harley, a full brother to Reserve Herdsire of the Year, Captain Morgan.  And Harley's sire Macgyver has
been suri herdsire of the year for five years running!

We have a few breedings planned for Arby this year.  Stay tuned for his crias in 2010 or better yet use Arby on a couple of your girls and
be one of the first to have a cria out of him!
Arby recently settled his first female - with one breeding!

UPDATE:  Arby gets a 1st place ribbon at the Michigan Breeders Show!  Judge Kathy Klay's comments on Arby:  "Good luster, great
density, correct bite, and phenomenal conformation!  This male belongs in a breeding program as he has a lot to offer."

We expect GREAT things from Arby!
